Curtis Dagenais, the man guilty of killing two police officers in 2006, is appealing his life sentence. Dagenais was found guilty of the shooting deaths of RCMP Constables Robin Cameron and Marc Bourdages near Mildred. Crown Prosecutor Tony Gerein (gur-rine) says the appeal raises up one main issue, that Daganais believes the officers fired at him first and that he was acting in self-defence. Dagenais was also found guilty of the attempted murder of Constable Michelle Knoop. He will appear at the Court of Appeals in Regina on October 25th. (jl sept 14/12) Share: ![]() Tweet
