The Crisis Nursery in Saskatoon is benefitting from a golf tournament and dinner featuring a pro golfer. Synergy 8 Community Builders is currently working on a 300 thousand dollar renovation of the Nursery and landscape around it. All of the money came from the fundraising golf tournament and dinner with guest speaker Fred Couples. The renovations to the nursery include a brand new spray park and playground in the backyard. Synergy 8 spokesperson Troy Davies says every year they make a donation to a local charity that involves kids. Previous Synergy 8 donations include a pediatric ambulance, an ultrasound machine for kids, and a health bus. Oher renovations and improvements to the nursery include new roofing, new windows, re-insulation, new doors, and a new deck. Davies says the exterior work is complete while work continues on new carpeting and a new bathroom. The Crisis Nursery is an emergency shelter for children up to the age of 13.
