400 new floor tickets go on sale at noon on Monday for the Canadian Country Music Awards show to be held in Saskatoon on September 9th. When the Canadian Country Music Awards show takes place, the CCMA will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. To commemorate those 30 years, a new award has been established called the CCMA Generation Award. It will highlight those artist who have opened up country music to new audiences, bringing awareness of the genre around the world. This year's recipient will be Taylor Swift. Since 2010, Swift has become the biggest selling country artist in Canada and is one of the top selling artists in the world across all genres. Swift will be in Saskatoon for the show and to accept her award. Country Music Week begins September 6th. About 80 artists will be in the city performing during the week, and when you add in the performers at the awards show on the 9th, there will be 110 artists converging on Saskatoon.
