At the 2012 Dakota Dunes Casino Open, the title will return to Canada. Sarnia, Ontario's Matt Hill was in striking distance after 3 rounds, and shot a 4-under 68 to win the event with a 4-day total of 19-under-par. It came down to a playoff with Dallas, Texas product Will Strickler. With the win, Hill will take home 24 thousand dollars. With a burning-hot 7-under round to cap off the 4-day event, Saskatoon product Kent Eger finished in a 3-way tie for 12th place at 12-under on the weekend. With that top-15 finish, the 31 year old earned 3 thousand, 150 dollars. 32 year old Danny Sahl from Sherwood Park, Alberta was 13 under, good for 11th overall and just over 5 thousand dollars in prize money.
