With 6 playoff games between 3 pro sports teams in 4 days, it's the busiest day on record for any major sports arena, ever. Some are referring to a very busy Sunday at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles as "Sport-a-Geddon." Following a double-header of playoff basketball tomorrow as both the Lakers and Clippers are involved in the second round of the N-B-A playoffs... the real fun begins Sunday. That's when the final stage of the country's largest stage cycling race is set to finish in front of Staples Center -- approximately 30 minutes before the Kings and Phoenix Coyotes drop the puck at noon pacific time for Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. Later that night, though, it's the Clippers against the Spurs at the Staples Centre. And that begs the question... what happens if the Kings and desert dogs end up in triple O-T? The whole situation has a number of people involved concerned, including television networks faced with the outside chance that the Spurs-Clippers game gets postponed or cancelled. In Sunday's Kings-Coyotes game, L-A will look to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals with a win on home ice. The Kings are currently 11 and 1 in the playoffs, having lost only a single game in the first round to the Vancouver Canucks. (pb may 19/12) Share: ![]() Tweet
