Updates on arthritis treatment, medications, standards, and diagnostic techniques are expected to be the theme for a conference in Saskatoon.

Health care professionals are gathering for the day-and-a-half conference starting today (Wed).

Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Arthritis Society, Carol Hiscock. says there are over 1 hundred types of arthritis and the conference will allow participants to enhance their knowledge about the disease.

She says that more than 140 thousand people live with arthritis in the province and that more than a third of the population are expected to live with it sometime in the future.
