A 15 year old Yorkton boy has been arrested in connection with an attack on an 80 year old woman in that community. RCMP say the woman was walking home when a boy grabbed for her purse. She tried to hang onto it and the attacker pushed her to the ground, resulting in serious injuries to the elderly woman. She had to be hospitalized. The public came to the assistance of police and officers were able to make the arrest. The boy is charged with aggravated assault, theft, and several addition charges on unrelated matters. He is in court today. [gw july 5 2012]
