Things got heated in a Regina courtroom today (Wed).

35 year old Tammy Goforth appeared on charges of manslaughter, in connection to the death of a four year old Regina girl.

According to a Regina court clerk, the biological mother of the girl lunged at Goforth, before being restrained.

Goforth was a caregiver of the four year old girl, and a two year old girl.

A Regina police investigation was launched when the little girl was admitted to hospital in critical condition.

The investigation found the girl was abused and neglected.

She died in hospital.

The two year old girl was also taken to hospital for injuries associated with abuse and neglect.

37 year old Kevin Goforth has also been charged in connection to the girl's death earlier this month.

He appears in court to face manslaughter charges tomorrow (Thurs).
