Saskatoon Police are calling it miraculous that no one was injured in a 4 vehicle pile up on the Sid Buckwold Bridge Saturday evening. Just after 7 thirty police got the call. Traffic was backed up by the damaged vehicles on both the 1st Avenue and 20th Street exits. Police determined the accident was caused by two male drivers under the influence of alcohol. The two men, aged 23 and 29, have been charged and are scheduled for court at a later date. Meanwhile traffic had to be re-routed on 14th Street and Circle Drive early Sunday morning (Sun), as police dealt with a two vehicle accident. A man involved in the accident was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. His condition is listed as stable. A 19 year old woman driving the second vehicle had to be extracted with the jaws of life. She has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, taking a vehicle without consent, and three breaches of court ordered conditions. Traffic was being re-routed onto 14th Street, since Circle Drive south was closed from the accident, but that has now been lifted. [ED Aug 5/12] Share: ![]() Tweet
