Seven people have been taken into custody after the Saskatoon Police Service's Street Gang Unit executed a search warrant this morning (Sun), in the 16 hundred block of 19th Street.

The Emergency Response Team, and Canine Unit were brought in, and traffic was blocked while police initiated the warrant, because of the serious nature of the situation.

Several weapons, including firearms were all located and seized.

Four men and three women at the home were taken into custody, and another man who wasn't at the home was also arrested with a number of firearms charges.

Police say this was an active and ongoing investigation, and the details of the charges and the nature of the investigation will be released as the details are solidified.
