The RM of Corman Park election results are now official.

At better than 2800 ballots cast, voter turnout was 45 point 9 per cent.

Judy Harwood defeated the incumbent, Mel Henry by 1125 votes.

With a new Reeve in place at the RM of Corman Park, there are plenty of relationships that need attention.

Judy Harwood says first on her "to do" list is sitting down with council.

In a recent report on the governance of the RM, paid for by the municipality, it was recommended Council get some training to, among other things, ensure it acts in accordance with The Municipalities Act and best practices.

There are also some lawsuits on the horizon she will have to deal with too.

More than a year ago the Council fired their Administrator citing "termination with cause" but an OH & S investigation has found the RM was wrong in doing so and now must provide remediation.

The former Director of Planning, let go by Mel Henry, has filed a lawsuit for wrongful dismissal, infliction of mental harm and defamation through slander by the RM.

No amount for damages have been specified in the lawsuit.
