Broadway Avenue is celebrating, as it always does the Saturday following the September long weekend.

It's the 29th Annual Broadway Street Fair today (Sat), presented by the Broadway Business Improvement District.

The street will be closed to traffic from 7am to 7pm, and the event runs from 10 to 5.

The Grace Westminster Pancake Breakfast will be held in conjunction with the Fair from 8 a.m. to 11.

Sarah Marchildon, Executive Director of the Broadway BID, says they are hoping to equal last year's attendance, which was around 10-thousand people.

There are three stages at the Fair, a sidewalk sale, petting zoo, children's art tent and a Celebrity Pie Throwing Contest in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Saskatoon.
