A 29 year old man was assaulted by a number of people last night (mon) at the intersection of Princess Street and 3rd Avenue North. Police arrived shortly after nine o'clock and found the unconscious victim lying in the street. He was taken to hospital in stable condition. The canine unit was brought in to track the suspects and managed to locate a 17 year old boy. He faces numerous charges including assault, breach of an undertaking, and breach of probation. He will be in court today. Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers. [gw july 17 2012]
