A 100 year old time capsule was opened Wednesday at the Knox Church on Spadina Crescent. It was placed during construction, exactly a century earlier, in October of 1912. Former board chair with the Knox Church -- Wendell Owen -- was there when they opened the capsule. Congregation members he was as excited like a kid opening Christmas presents. Items in the time capsule included newspaper clippings from the day, the reverend's pocket bible, hymn books, and a number of other items. The church actually opened in May of 1914 -- and Owen says they're already planning the 100 year anniversary of the grand opening.
